Ladies Rock Camp Boston

Ladies Rock Camp Boston (LRCB) is an intensive 3-day-weekend camp in Jamaica Plain, MA that provides an opportunity for women 21 and over to let loose for the weekend and play rockin’ music together while supporting a great cause (funding scholarships for girls)!

LRCB 2017:

Session 1 2017: March 3 – 5, 2017

Session 2 2017: April 7 – 9, 2017

PLEASE NOTE: We are currently full for both sessions of LRCB but we encourage you to sign up and be placed on the waiting list.

F.A.Q.

What is LRC all about?
Programming for LRC is similar to what girls do during our summer program: receive instrument instruction, form a band, and work together to write an original song and perform your song LIVE – in just three days!  In addition, you will have the opportunity to attend a variety of workshops with topics related to being an empowered rocker. All proceeds from LRCB go directly to the Girls Rock Campaign Boston (GRCB).

LRC programmatic function is to generate funds and awareness for GRCB, as well as reach out to women who support our mission. This year we are hoping to raise $30,000 through Ladies Rock Boston to help us make GRCB continue on as a sustainable organization while providing financial aid to all girls who apply!

When is the next Ladies Rock Camp Boston?!
Our next sessions of Ladies Rock Camp Boston will be held in March and April of 2017. We are currently full for both sessions of LRCB but we encourage you to sign up and be placed on the waiting list.

Session 1: March 3-5, 2017

Who can apply for Ladies Rock Camp Boston (LRCB)?

LRCB is for any woman, age 21 and over, who wants to rock out while supporting GRCB!  There is absolutely no musical experience necessary and we will provide all instruments for all women who attend.

How much is tuition for LRCB?

Tuition for LRC will be on a sliding scale ($275 – $500) based on how much you are able to contribute to Girls Rock Campaign Boston.

Tuition has been set at the absolute lowest amount possible for us to cover our costs and meet expected financial goals for our programs. We are unable to offer a reduced fee for early registration, or other reduced tuition options this year. If you can give more than the tuition, GRCB will enthusiastically accept your donation!

What workshops are offered at LRCB?

Workshops rotate each year but we offer a variety of workshops that have included Combatting Relational Aggression, Pedals & Alternative Sounds, Screen Printing, Songwriting, Women in Rock History and Intro to DJ.

What is the time commitment for LRCB?
