GRCB Virtual Summer Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with GRCB this summer!

Due to quarantine we have have had to pivot and swivel our way into a new virtual world. And we are here! Introducing…GRCB’s VIRTUAL SUMMER, July 14th-August 20th!

All summer long we are offering a variety of programming and need your help to continue to build community virtually! We will have 3 programs that need volunteer support. Check out the program descriptions below and then head on over to our volunteer application to learn more about all of the ways to get involved!

Virtual Summer Volunteer Positions

Youth Leadership Program: GRCB Youth Leadership is an opportunity for girls and youth with marginalized gender identities, ages 13-17, to spend the summer deepening their leadership skills and working together to change the status quo. GRCB Youth Leaders meets virtually twice a week for six weeks this summer. Volunteer Position: Youth Leadership Coach >>

Rock, Learn & Create From Home with GRCB’s YouTube Channel: Since mid-March, we have been consistently building up our youtube channel with our Rock, Learn & Create From Home Series and will continue to do so all summer long! Rock at home with our incredible volunteers, this is a great way to access instrument lessons and creative workshops anytime! Volunteer Position: Content Creator >>

Lunchtime Band: We are inviting musicians, bands and performing artists to perform during “lunchtime” to showcase local musicians and give youth a chance to see themselves represented on stage. Each band will play 2-4 songs and then hold a Q&A or talk about their experience as a musician. Weekdays, 12:30-1:00 via Instagram Live. Volunteer Position: Lunchtime Band >>

Volunteer positions are open to women and adults with marginalized gender identities, 19 years and older. Youth who attend GRCB programming come from a wide range of economic experiences, racial and ethnic identities, gender identities, and neighborhoods. We strive to create a volunteer base that reflects this diversity, and strongly encourage people of color, people who are gender non-binary and/or trans, and any folks who come from traditionally oppressed experiences to volunteer with Girls Rock Campaign Boston.

All new volunteers will be interviewed and a background check is required for volunteers.

Space for volunteers is limited, please apply early for best consideration.
