Girls Rock Campaign Boston

Ladies Rock Camp Boston

Ladies Rock Camp (LRC) is an intensive 3-day-weekend camp in Jamaica Plain, MA that provides an opportunity for ladies 21 and over to let loose for the weekend and play rockin’ music together while supporting a great cause (funding scholarships for girls)!

What is LRC all about?

Programming for LRC is similar to what girls do during our summer program: receive instrument instruction, form a band, and work together to write an original song and perform your song LIVE at TT the Bears – in just three days!  In addition, you will have the opportunity to attend a variety of workshops with topics related to being a lady rocker. All proceeds from Ladies Rock Camp go directly to the Girls Rock Campaign Boston (GRCB).

LRC programmatic function is to generate funds and awareness for GRCB, as well as reach out to women who support our mission. This year we are hoping to raise $30,000 through Ladies Rock Boston to help us make GRCB continue on as a sustainable organization while providing financial aid to all girls who apply!

When is the next Ladies Rock Camp Boston?!

Our next LRC Sessions will be in 2015!

Who can apply for Ladies Rock Camp Boston (LRC)?

LRC is for any lady, age 21 and over, who wants to rock out while supporting GRCB!  There is absolutely no musical experience necessary and we will provide all instruments for all women who attend.

How much is tuition for LRC?

Tuition for LRC will be on a sliding scale ($275 – $500) based on how much you are able to contribute to Girls Rock Campaign Boston.

Tuition has been set at the absolute lowest amount possible for us to cover our costs and meet expected financial goals for our programs. We are unable to offer a reduced fee for early registration, or other reduced tuition options this year. If you can give more than the tuition, GRCB will enthusiastically accept your donation!

While your tuition is not considered a donation, any amount beyond $500 is so please consider giving an extra amount if at all possible. Whether you can give an additional $5.00 or $5,000.00, every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated! All donations to GRCB are considered tax deductible!

What workshops are offered at LRC?

During the course of the three days, we will be offering a variety of workshops including Self-Defense, Screen Printing, Song Writing, Women in Rock History and Intro to DJ.
